Basic Boat

These boat kits are mostly about design. A square block of foam is ok but with a little design I am sure you can make it go faster.
The parts of the kit can be reused but the foam might need to be replaced for next year.
All orders come with printed instructions plus a link to our YouTube site for videos on step by step instructions.
We have three options with the basic model. 1. Just the battery powered boat. 2. Basic boat with the 2v solar panel. 3. or you can order the basic kit and add any type of solar panel.
A fun option is to build the boat out of recycled materials. When you order just ask us to leave out the foam and we will reduce the cost by $1.25
Basic Boat with battery pack - $13.75 plus GST
Basic Boat with 2v solar panel - $25.00 plus GST
Basic Boat with your selection of solar panel - $?.00 plus GST Give a call or email

The battery pack is provided to allow the boat to run without a solar panel. If the sunlight is
extremly low its handy to have a battery or it can be a great way to test in the classroom.
This model can be great for a STEM project, "build the fastest solar boat" so students can
explore the science of solar, and the engineering design process to build a good boat.
